Glad to see you added Ryan to that list. I have fished with him here and in Idaho. He is a great and patient guide. I might be a bit biased since I have fished with a number of times and consider him a friend also.

Here is a report of some fishing we did last summer in Idaho and Wy. http://kiene.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=6761

Anyone considering a trip to South fork of the Snake this summer or the Lower Sac this spring should think about giving him a call.

So,

Who would folks recommend for a first time trip on the Sac? My dad is not a great caster but would love the chance to hook a few fish and have a nice day on the water?

(and what should I expect to pay?)

Mike-- I would recommend giving Ryan a Call or email. I think his rates are about $375. This includes lunch and flies. I have had some great days on the water with him including a few with my wife who does not fish that much but has had great fun on the days we have been out with Ryan. You can find his contant info/Phone Number on the contact page of his website.

The rates vary 350-400 for most guides on the lower sac. Some don't include flies so that can add up quickly.
