I just got an incredible new lens, the sigma 500mm f/4.5. There was a good deal on it and i just couldn't pass it up, especially since i have been dreaming about a 500mm for a while. I goofed the best shot of the day, but other than that it has already impressed me.

I was so frantic to follow him that even 1/2000 of a sec was slightly blury.

Bolden,

Very nice!

I can't wait to see more of the results of that great new lens of yours.

Keep them coming...

Thank you for the new desktop Ben, I am using the pic where he is leaving the post. That one is a keeper.

Bolden,
I wonder how many people use your pictures as their desktop background. I've been using the picture you took of the feeding fish (the one with its head sticking out of the water). You have some serious talent.

Bolden,

Did you get the "Bigma"(50-500)?

Bolden,

I got the Sigma 500mm f/4.5. This is much bigger than the bigma, and i can add a 1.4tc with no loss of quality, even wide open. It is going to take some getting use to, since with my 300mm i always handheld it and it was easy to just pick up and shoot, but with this new lens it will take a little more time to get it stuck out of the window. Here is a picture of it. My d50 is there for relative size.

Wow! That is a beast! I have been wanting to add a wildlife lens to my set as well. I have been eying the Bigma. I would like to have a prime, but I don't think that anyone makes a 500 prime in Pentax mount yet.
