Cantaria beetles

Saw lots of these big cantaria beetles in Chilean Patagonia last week. Seems that the trout actually eat these things, since we found the mandibles of one sticking out of the butt of one brown and pulled it out gently. I'm sure the trout appreciated the relief from that blockage.
