I believe at 3:15 they will come back to talk about the requested ban on Salmon fishing on the American River by the Fly Fishing Federation.

If I am incorrect please inform me, I had a real hard time following the talks about the smolt.

Seems like they are running quite a bit late as they are 1 topic behind the
American proposal as per the itinerary. The hearing about the delta smelt was depressing to say the least, and really showed just how valueable our water is.

Well it recieved maybe 20 mins of discussion. In summary the proposal was rejected but they will be trying to gather more info before next season to see if a low flow type closure might have any positive impact for the 2009 season. It seemed pretty cut and dry and the only person lobbying for the closure didn't really make a logical argument for a closure.
