thanks very much for posting this Bill! It gave a lot of ideas to do some cheap mods to my flat bottom 10' valco pram I bought last fall.
I've used it a few times to chase stripers. With the 4hp motor and 36lb trolling motor it gave me a lot more mobility and range. Plus, casting fast-sinking lines standing up is so much easier compared to sitting down low on a pontoon boat :-)
I'm thinking about adding a platform at the front and maybe add a seat in the back for ease of control while motoring.

Try to use the lightest materials you can find so you don't make your boat too heavy.
