I think I got more friends now?

Like having a new swimming pool in Sacramento in August.

Who want to lend me $8,000 for a motor now?

Looking good Bill! Uh, but I don't have $8,000 for a motor.

I'll be honest Bill, I only want you for your boat, even if it doesn't have a motor.

The real question now is how far will you be boating come the Delta weekend in May. I bet you see the whole delta while Ed and I sit in the slough and nail them left and right.

Your right Scott.......with only oars I might be very near behind you guys.

There is a "Jon boat bass club" on the Internet that is electric motors only.

Bill:

I got a quick peek at your new boat today in the parking lot as I was leaving your store. The previously posted pictures do not to it justice. I would love to see it when it is completely outfitted.

Tony,

It's at Sutter Marine now being worked on.

They are putting in a perminent 20 gallon gas tank.

Then they are getting me a new Yamaha 4 stroke 90/65 jet.

bill-- you have nailed it! The perfect blend of economy, performance, hull weight, room to move, and stability. You are going to have alot of good times with that rig and little stress when you tow and fill the tanks! You have nailed it, my friend! Please put me in your will, as I know this is a boat that will last more than one lifetime!

Driving up to Sutter Marine in Yuba City, CA this morning to check out my boat.

They have the motor on now so I want to just look at it again.

Should have it in the water in a month or so for the Fall fishing.

Hi Bill,

I stopped by Sutter Marine yesterday to take a look and that's quite a nice boat. Looks quite sturdy and perfect for the rivers around here.

I noticed the motor was mounted on PowerLift brackets. Was this to get the transom hieght high enough for the top mounts of the motor?

They had the center consel apart from the floor when I was there. Probably wiring for the fuel gage.

Looking forward to seeing it on the water.

Hi Tony,

They had to use that lift to get the motor mounted right because the transom was no high enough.

I also had Ray Jensen, who built the boat, shorten the console a foot so I could sit down and still see over it.

Brian, at Sutter Marine, says all I have to do is add a special 4" extension and then I can just bolt on a standard propeller low unit without adjusting the motor height. If I am down in the Delta for a month or more (when I'm retired?) I will put the prop unit on.

Lots of little things to add now too.
