Has anyone heard about new "Home Land inSecurity" rules against fishing in the deep water channel? My dad is a member of the W. Sac. outboard club, and heard recently from another member that people bank fishing have been booted out by HLS and fined somewhere around $125. I haven't heard anything though about those who use the private boat launch, or put in small craft there by the locks.

Hmmmm,.... Haven't heard anything new. 8) However, you could test it out by fishing from the bank and see what happens.... Seriously, I don't see how anyone could enforce on the south side of the port. There're no fences there and it couldn't be anymore dangerous for the port than allowing someone to launch a boat down near the club ramp.... :? :? :?

Maybe you could just drive up to the security gate and ask 'em.... :? :? :?

Last time I was out there there were plenty of bank fishers on the south side. Only Homeland(Motherland?) Security problem was getting to close to the Port Facilities. The City of West Sacramento is turning the south bank by the locks into a park. Ed
