Floated the river from Sailor Bar to Gristmill Wednesday, Friday and
Saturday. The water is very stained, visibility is less than 8". Fishing on
Wednesday was good, we hooked a dozen or so halfies and 2 confirmed
adults. Friday was tougher, we hooked less halfies, however, locked into
some very hot adults. All fish were chrome and crazy. Saturday was a
perfect day, other than a crowded Sailor bar. We landed 2 adults and a
couple half pounders. The bonus for Saturday was SPEY casting. Both my
anglers, of which are a joy to watch cast, hooked nice fish on the swing! Flies
of choice included, flash back PT’s, bright egg patterns, caddis pupas and egg sucking leeches.
