Cane Rods

6’3” Pezon et Michel 2/2 #4/5. Ritz Super Parabolic PPP Featherweight. Staggered ferrule with long ferrule cap to even butt in the bag, green wraps with red tipping. Excellent condition, blond cane, replacement bag and tube.
$ 1200

7’9” Bradford & Clark 2/2 #5. Made by Mike Clark with John Bradford blanks. Blond cane, golden wraps with brown tipping. Gorgeous rod in excellent condition. Original bag and tube.
$1700

8’ Leonard 50. 3/2 #4 Prefire (early 1920’s). Re-varnished and rewrapped, all original hardware and bag and tube. Blond cane with the small Tournament style handle, light yellow wraps. This is one of the rods that wrote the history of American rod making. Very good conditions. It is hard to believe that this rod is 80 years old.
$2800

8’ Paul H Young Para 15, 2/2. One dry fly tip (#5) and one wet tip (#6). Dark flamed cane, dark burgundy wraps. The dry fly tip has a set, the guides are oversized, the rod although stamped on the reel seat, is not marked on the shaft. It comes with a photocopy of a letter from Bob Summers stating that he is probably the one that made this rod.

Except for this, the rod and varnishing is in real good conditions. Replacement bag and tube. Hopefully that explains the reason why I am offering it at this price. This is a unique chance to own one of the best fly rods ever made for a really good price.
$1700

8’ Orvis Battenkill, 2/2 #6. Impregnated, blond cane, golden wraps with burgundy tipping. I prefer fishing it with a #5. Very good conditions, Original bag and tube.
$800

9’6” E.C. Powell, 3/2 #6/7. Hollowbuilt, all the pieces correct length, marked on the reel seat E.C. Powell, Marysville CA. Typical blonde Powell cane, golden wraps with yellow tipping, black and white wraps at the grip to mark the hollowbuilt configuration. This rod has just been re-wrapped by Gene Powell. Excellent conditions except for a little bit of dryness on the cork and the bag which, although original (as is the tube), is about an inch short due to having washed it once.
$1200

10’6” S. Allcock 3/2 #6. Antique English salmon rod from the end of the 19th century. Although I have made a point of fishing it at least once every year, this is an astonishing display rod. All original, revarnished, a ton of intermediate wraps, screw-lock ferrules, Fighting butt can be unscrewed to be changed by a blade to plant in the ground while rigging up. Two tips, with agate tip tops, contained in a small cane tube (this too can be mounted with the blade to make it stand while rigging up). Bag is original but has been written on with a marker.
$400

$ 150

$450
