feedback on Classic Loomis GLX # 7

Hi!

Im thinking about this rod to fish bass on lakes, since I dont travel that much (yet) to great paradise fishing such as The Bahamas the 2 piece configuration is ok.

How about this rod to cast clouser minnows # 2 and some dixie devil poppers? Classic Loomis GLX # 7 9 feet 2 piece.

Will match a click drag reel (Abel tr or creek)

It's a good rod.

For long distance casting for say Bonefish from a boat with small/medium size flies we use the line the rod calls for.

For bass bugs we over line rods at least one size with as bass taper or SW taper floating line for medium distances.

For bigger bass surface flies and shorter distances we over line two sizes.
