Ice off ??

Now that muzzle loader deer and Elk seasons are over and duck season is almost over , its time for me to start fly fishing again . BUT this is the coldest time of the year here in N. Utah ( January - February) . Is there anything i can put on the eyelets and fly line to repel ice ??

Rob, When i was fishing last year up the canyon I used PAM! it seemed to work OK. But the best solution for me was to dip the rod in the water! Cold as hell, but if it is moving it is warmer than the air! try the pam.

I will have to try that !!

Last year i fly fished when it was 15 deg , i could not false cast more than once or the fly line would freeze in the eyelets. I would dip the rod in the water , one false cast then cast . Cody and i hope to get out next week .
