Anyone been out there lately? Me and my buddy are planning to go on monday. any reports/advice would be appretiated.

I just talked with Toby Uppinghouse who besides being our TFO rep also guides on the Feather and elsewhere.

He said that there were some new bright chrome salmon in the river of which he'd taken several incidently to fishing for steelhead. As for the steelhead there were good numbers of them too though he thought a bit small comparing them to the Trinity fish.

At my shop today I had one customer come in saying he'd taken a 32" steelie in the upper river. I questioned the size but saw a picture on the customer's cell phone camera and it was a very good fish. All he would say was "near Gridley".

Over on the Sac there has been a really good run of late salmon, and guide Mike Siler has been doing fantastic taking steelhead on roe above Colusa.
