Hey Dan,

There are many winter opportunities in Central Oregon. I would start by calling the Patient Angler in Bend, great shop with great people. The Fall River always fishes well in the winter time and of course you always have the Deschutes but most of the summer steelhead are getting ready to spawn now and most are colored up. Trout fishing usually tapers off about now but deep nymphing is usually a good bet and the BWOs can always come off with a cloudy day.

Also the Crooked River is a good bet but there has been some decline recently in the trout numbers, I have heard more reports of whitefish than trout but sometimes whitefish can save the day during the winter.
