So far, the PNW Steelhead has proved elusive, but today I had my first serious grab. How do I know it was a steelie?

I don't.

But the way my heart stopped and the way that felt, even for a moment, I'm pretty sure that was what it's all about.

I'll be back next week.

Nice picture from the Sky. When you're in Monroe, stop by and see some friends of mine http://www.allaboutthefly.com/

I've been in once...a very cool shop with a Kiene-esque reputation.
Steelie,
I haven't been on the Sky since the pinks where in...
I hope to get out there Christmas week...or maybe Cutties in the sound...

Yeah, I've been in that shop several times. It's a good one. Ron is a great guy.

Nip - this was my first year chasing the pinks, alot of fun on a fly rod for sure! If you are ever up here, gimme a shout. As for Christmas week, I'll be in Colorado chasing trout!! Can't wait!! :D
