After some higher, murky water the sac. is in shape and fishing well around Anderson/Red Bluff. The river here is virtually deserted right now. There hasn't been much of a hatch to speak of but the reliable old egg or micro-may got the fish to yawn for us. Trout averaged between 14" and 16" with a couple of fish (trout and fin-clipped steelies) over the 22" mark. Finding the few spawning salmon left was key, as was dialing in the right leader/shot combo as usual. I noticed the fish were not spread out, if we hit one we'd go back and always find more. There were some long dry spells in between pods of fish though. Overall I'd say 15-20 hookups total with no crowds is a good deal!

Great report. What drift were you doing?

I've been doing Balls to Jelly's, or the gravel bar to the Bend.
