I've fished the Trinity 5 out of the last 7 Weeks.

Went 7 for 10 on Saturday at my favorite area. I have been following the fish up river.

I don't have a camera so no pics. Its like Ripleys Believe it or Not. I don't care.... Hard to take pictures of fish that big when you are solo unless you drag them on the beach/rocks anyway and I wont do that.

I suggest you get out there before the temps drop and the fish pod up.

But be prepared for cold, cold weather right now. After fishing on Sunday, I left my gear in my truck. When I hooked up early Monday morning on a fish, my Sage reel was frozen!!!

....went twentysomething out of thirtysomething hooked in two days. Temps are dropping fast, it was snowing on the hill heading out Sunday Evening....

I think I have a rotator cuff injury from all the stack mending.....

I was out there last week with guide Toby Uppinghouse. Very cold in the am but warmed up a bit afternoon. I guess the fish are getting a break this week with all the rain. Toby is at 916-505-4773

GS1DAD, if you do not mind me asking, why are the fingers on your left hand white?

Steelies/26c3 is right, It was about 25f when we hit the water. The latex gloves always helped druing the winter when I worked as a mechanic. Line drag was a problem when the fish took off for thier initial run before I could get them on the reel. The line would skid rather than slide through my finger tips. They were nice when removing ice from the guides though. I think I was 4 for 9 that day but this one was the prettiest. The chromers all took off for parts unknown.
Happy holiday to all of you. Paul

Whoa, I learned something new. I'm going to buy some to keep my fingers warm.
