That Scott HP 886/3 (8'8" #6 line 3 piece) might make a killer bass rod with a WF7/8F?

It is a great LMB rod with an 8wt. line. Will drop a bug into a tea cup at 50 feet. Very easy going but powerfull rod. I just lowered the price of all three rods. PB

am i correct that the HP 886 and the Sage sp are still available?
also quick question about the Heliply.. was that a Scott G series rod? just beefed up or what. And what abou the Powerply any difference.

The Sage is sold bcarson, Heli-plys are for big bugs and casting into heavy winds if needed. Not for mending line, small dry flys or indicator fishing. As far as I know Heli-Ply is a trade name that Scott came up with like Durascrim is for Sage. Maybe someone else can add some info here. Sounds strong and tough though huh. Paul
