Hi all,
On Saturday my buddy and I put down our bait casters long enough to give fly fishing a serious try on Clear Lake. We found a number of quality bass throwing a 250 grain line and various minnow patterns. 15-20ft of water and rock walls was the ticket. I can't wait for the more agressive spring bite to happen. With the poor weather conditions on Sat the fishing was slow overall, however, the fly gear out performed our conventional sticks and usual assortment of plastics!
It seems odd that I've never witnessed another flyfisherman on CL-
