I just got my new d300, it is just so beautiful. Hopefully this weekend i'll go give it a workout on some birds. Here are some of the pictures today that resulted from my boredom.

Ben, nice new camera, the online reviews make it sound awesome. I look forward to more great pictures.

I'm getting really close to buying a D-SLR as well, but I'll be looking at Canon. I've tried to give Nikon a chance but their controls are too different to me, I'm used to Canon and they also take great pictures.

If you change your mind or decide to after January, let me know. I still haven't pulled the trigger on the D40 and probably won't until after Christmas.

Yeah, I've been looking at the camera at the store every other day. I think they have my name on one.... It would go great with my D70S. Don't know if I want to upgrade my 35mm digital or a new Canon XH-A1.
Like they say, the older you get the more expensive the toys are.
