If you want to have the time of your life come in an sign up for a trip in September 2008 for fresh Silver Salmon right on the ocean at the Tsiu River in Alaska with veteran host Joe Shirshac. Joe is still looking for a couple of anglers. You will never forget this place. Joe is working at the shop most Saturdays and he can show you some video of recent trips.

I have been there 3 time myself and will be going back again some day soon. This river is slow moving, shallow and all sand so you can take anyone on this trip. Many have taken their wives here as well.

It is one of the best fisheries left on earth and it is one of the best values in all of Alaska.

$3,495 from Cordova, Alaska. Overnighting in Cordova is a treat because it is a serious commercial fishing port with no road access. Great fresh seafood dinners with fresh halibut and salmon.

We still have room for a few more anglers.

If you come by the shop many of us have been to the Tsiu River.

See Joe Shirshac, Jeff Putnam, Andy Guibord, Chuck Campana, Bill Carnazzo, Terry Jenkins or me if you want to talk about the Tsiu trip.

This is what fishing must have been like 100 years ago around these parts.

Watching hundreds of fresh Silver Salmon (Coho) come into the river on every high tide is really a treat. These fish eat flies like crazy when they are fresh in from the Pacific Ocean.

You might be after them in the salt water.

August/September is the time they run up most AK rivers.

I think Joe Shirshac has a few spots open in his trip to the Tsiu River this September.

Come by or call the shop on any Saturday to talk with Joe about this great destination for fresh run wild Silver Salmon (Coho) on the Alaskan coast.
