It's so funny that I have been able to fake it for over 43 years.........?

I guess I have more people fooled than anyone else?

I'm really just an old sporting goods saleman at heart.

Thanks Ed...

Did you know me when I worked at West Capitol Rod & Gun in West Sacramento? 1970ish?

We had one of the best bait-n-tackle shops in the area.

It was right next to the Tower Club but the buildings are gone now and they use the field for parking for the River Cats games.

Those were the good old days for me.

In those days we fished and hunted. We were so 'connected' that we had tons of thing to do all year long.

We had places to hunt ducks, pheasants, doves, quail....

We had private bass ponds to fish out of Plymouth, CA.

My boss Harry Boley kept a boat in the water at the mouth of the American River that we could all use.

Never a dull moment.....maybe that's why my first wife gave up on me?

I use to guide bait fishing for Stripers with a 20' Ski-barge that we kept in the water at Clarksburg south of Sacramento on the river. That's when we had really fresh sardines.

I also commercial fished for crayfish with a friend for one season.

I guess that's why I feel like anyone I run into on the river fishing is my friend. Even the bait dunkers............

I didn't show up out here until '82, came out from the cold, cold, midwest. Northern Il, was smallmouth heaven though, and northern pike were as prized a game fish as any. I fished for everything that swam in the Kankakee river, it's tribs, canals, and any water I could manage to get to. Ed
