My dad and i headed up earlier today hoping to find some cruisers, and we did. I only landed one, but he was very big, and my dad lost one of a similar size. We measured it against the rod and it came out to about 23-24 inches, and he was extremely wide.
If you go up, try to fish as early as possible until about 1 oclock, which is when they went deeper. A simple brown wooly booger was all that was needed.
Here is a picture of that fish and some others while i was bored. By the way, i did get rid of the line that was wrapped around the fished mouth.
