Checked out Baum Lake yesterday, VERY busy which seems to be an increasing trend lately. Took the pontoons out and parked them in the main channel where a very nice size school of trout were actively feeding. There was a KILLER mayfly hatch that lasted for around 6 or 7 hours and included 6 or 7 species of mayfly. I ended up having 6 missed boils and three hookups. Sounds like a decent afternoon but it was actually really slow given how many fish there were rising.
I think the slow fishing was due to that big old full moon!
This was two of the many species I saw
