Interesting article in the local Grants Pass paper tonight entitled: "Fish Runs on the Rogue River Floundering". Fall chinook over Gold Ray are 3,984 and 88% of the run is done so the final count should be 4,527 fish. The ten year average is 11,244.
On summer steelhead the count over Gold Ray is 4,687 and 51.2% of the run is done so the final count should be 9,154. The ten year average is 12,947.
So it looks like we will end up with 40.3% of the ten year average for fall chinooks and 70.7% of the summer/fall steelhead ten year average.
