Got up to Poker Bar on friday afternoon about 3. It wasn't raining much there, but clearly had been raining pretty good because the visibility was minimal at best. Oskar and another friend got up there Thursday night and had been out fishing all day. Another friend met me at Poker Bar and given the conditions we decided to have a couple cold ones. Woke up saturday morning and the river was in good shape. Instead of listening to some of the good advice you guys offered we decided to float from Poker Bar to Steel Bridge. Oskar landed one half pounder, but that was it. We got off the water about 3 and decided to head down towards Junction City. That move paid off. While there where a few people around we were still able to split up and find some water to work. Got these 2 to hand.

You can probably guess where we headed Sunday. Same result for me I ended up landing these 2.

All 4 of us landed at least one adult. We had a great trip and the catching was a great bonus.

Nice job! I talked with a guy who drifted with Sac River Outfitters and landed 13 adults and the biggest was 30". He showed me pictures of all 13 :D

I thought he was BSing at first.

Copper Johns, glo bugs and swinging big black leeches.

I think if you can hook one adult Steelhead on a Nor Cal trip it has been successful.

How about landing adult steelhead on back to back cast. As soon as I get off work I'll post a more detailed report and pics. Basically, this was the best steelhead trip I've ever been on and it was the first to the Trinity.

Pimpinmeat, this is the fire marshall. Your neighborhood has mandatory evacuations in place. You must leave now. We are locating your street to a sleepy little town in northern california called Junction City. There is no smoke, fire, traffic, ect. in this area. In fact, to most LA-LA land people this town is boring. Our condolences.

Can't wait to hear your report pimpinmeat. If I was a little better fisherman my landing numbers would have been as insane as your numbers probably were. The down side would have been the loss of my job, my wife, and two and a half children. Although the children probably would have eventually forgiven their dad the "Steelhead Addict." :D
