This is pretty emotional for me to watch........I never thought it would happen.

They are actually removing dams now. Unreal.....

For the past 40 plus years that I have been involved in the sport fishing business all the old timers ever talked about was how good it was before the dams.

Wow....what dam is next?

I have heard that there is a movement afoot to remove two dams in Oregon and one in California on the upper Klamath. This comes as the aftermath for both the recent (6 years) fish kills and heavy algae blooms on both the lower and upper Klamath. The issue they trying to resolve is the loss of power provided by the dam near Hornbrook. It now pits the farmers and power company against the tribes and sports fishermen, stay tuned for film at 11:00 PM. I wish we had tribe on the American (smile).

Nice story. I plan to go there some day & check it out. Hopefully, the same type of action will occur on the Klamath. I read that American Rivers is working on the removal of four dams on the Klamath system.

This is truly a great day. Bill this was pretty emotional for me as well. Sure shows a lot of hope for the future and what we can accomplish to undo some of the mistakes we have made in the past.

Thanks for the link it made my day!
