I'll be heading up to fish the Trinity on Nov 3rd and 4th and was wondering if anybody could recommend a place to stay. I've done all of the basic google searches so I know what is available in the area, but nothing beats the firsthand experience that one of you may be able to share! Thanks in advance and I look forward to posting a report upon my return.

I've stayed at the Best Western there, it's pretty nice.

Adam,

That may have set a world record for the fastest reply ever. Thanks!

The 49er Gold Country Inn is nice if you ask for the new section.

I like the 49er Gold Country Inn too. Nice people, good location.
I left a rod in one of there rooms a couple of years ago. Didn't realize I'd left it there. The next time I was up there was almost a year later. When I checked in I asked if they happened to find a rod in one of the rooms last year. The guy just laughed and said "we were wondering if you were coming back for that."
I even like the old rooms.

If you go to our front page and to REPORTS and then to the TRINITY RIVER page you will see some lodging listed.

I will add some of these to it.

Was in Weaverville a couple of weeks ago. We stayed at the Red Hill Motel. Actually they are cabins. Old, but confortable and clean and our beds were good. Probably would not take your wife for a nice getaway, but great for a fishing trip, and the price was right.

It's not in Weaverville, but stayed at the steehead cottages??? Down river. Not world class but it was dry and had a kitchen. Word to the wise, if you stay there, the choices of eateries are very few. One, and its not that good. Had the s----s for a week. bring your own food.

Before we bought at Lewiston, we usually stayed at the Red Hill on the west side of town. good people, decent rooms and good service; walking distance to restaurants - the Lagrange and one other, now closed. The 49er is not bad, and I understand the Lewiston hotel has decent rooms and you get a full breakfast at the hotel if you stay there.
