OK Guys,.... Been playing around with a version of the old classic plug,

The above image is the of bottom or belly of the pattern.

This one is a side view.

I'm still playing with the shape of the body/head but so far, it looks interesting for Stripers and Black Bass in the Delta. I'm hoping to make this into a floating version of the Cut-Bait fly for Baja. When I've settled on a design, I'll post a recipe. 8) 8)

I really like the looks of that, it is the size of the baitfish I saw on the delta last weekend. If you need it tested I will be on the delta again in 2 weeks. :D

But serioulsly, that looks like it will be a killer on the delta. I will definetly try to tie one of those.

The underbody is made from Loco Foam, silver sided. 8) It's two parts glued together over the hook shank (silver sides out) and cut to shape. Haven't decided whther it needs a black dot behind the eye, yet. The main issue for the shaping is whether to cut down the width of the mouth area and make it thicker to catch/push some water when it's twitched..... :? :?

For the Baja version, I'm thinking that I need to shape the head and add a slight amount of red to the belly area and more to the tail. :? :?

Hmmm,.... Maybe I should consider making mine with a wider mouth :?: :?
It would certainly push more water.... :? :?

Hope your elbow recovers fast.... Your one handed tying is probably affected by the anesthetic they gave you. Wonder how much caffeine it'll take to offset the drugs :?: :?:    One thing you might want to reconsider is the Norvise... 8) 8) 8)

I'll post a photo of my baby large mouth just as soon as I finiish it. I'm going to airbrush the body. The name has been changed again. Can't calling it a Hula Popper. So large mouth came to mind

I'm going to get a triple shot with a little coffee pretty soon. Like I mentioned to David in and earlier post, I might go and play some Texas hold'm.

I use the Nor Vise at home, I have it set up in a permant position. I know I can tie alot faster on it but certain applications call for the Renzettti.

Stay tune for the baby bass fly

Finally found time to play around with a bleeding version of the injured minnow. I'd like to think it looks a lot like a sliced up Sardina. This one floats but it could easily be made to sink slowly.... 8) 8) 8)

Belly view above.

The proflie has been changed to reflect the shape of a Sardina. Wide from top to bottom/narrow from side to side. Tied a lot like a Ron Dong Crease Fly but laid on it's side. No Mouth opening tho. 8) 8) 8)
