The half pounders are still around. Went out to my spot this evening, got there early so I did a little more looking around. Saw a gear guy catch a very bright 15 to 20 pound King. They're here. Went and took a little nap by the water waiting for the mayfly hatch to begin, it's starting to get predictable. Got up when I heard the first"bloop" of a feeding trout. I targeted the most aggressive feeders, went 3 for 3 on them. Lost a couple, then the cold breeze started and it all shut down. I'm starting to really like this American River. Ed
