October........the only month I truely love the rain.

I'm planning on heading to the SF American on sunday near Bridal veil falls. Having never fished this section of the river I was hoping for a little insight from my fellow anglers.

I have driven by that area many times, but never fished it. I am really curious to know how you do.

Was up at the picnic area below the falls about 2 weeks ago. water was pretty skinny, but that was before the rain. water was also pretty cold already. lotsa pocket water, lotsa vegetation to walk through in the streambed to get to the water. fun place to take my 5 year old, though. he loved the huge boulders in the river we could get to from the shore.

Thank god it was a beautiful day.....Had the whole section to myself with the gate closed at the highway. Small mayflys nymphs under a few stones, but not nearly the aquatic life that I would have expected.

Two small bows on within the first ten minutes and then nothing.
