Were headed back up to Palm Beach in the morning. It has been fun down here mostly just hanging out with my mom on the pier fishing all day. When I look back I probably could have been much more adventurous, but I am glad I got to spend a lot of quality time with mom.
I seriously doubt this will be my last time here. I told Scott Collins when I was rippin the lips off a nice tarpon that was jumping like a big silver spring, "I would never stay married if I lived down here, I would be a bigger bum than I am now" Tarpon are the greatest fish on earth, I truly believe that...and I havnt even caught a "real" tarpon yet.
Scott was Very complimentary and thought I would do very well fishing these waters.
All the things I was worried about..ie. being too slow on my cast, casting in the wrong place, not seeing the fish, hooking my guide on my backcast, casting into the wind, "trout setting" tarpon...none of that stuff haunted me and it all came together under pressure for reasons I cant explain. There is nothing more thrilling than feeling that bite, it feels like a cinder block dropped on your fly and then you set the hook with your whole body...just awesome.

Here are a few more shots...
