So I got a sharkskin line by Scientific Anglers....
Might I say that I have always liked SA, other than the fact that they tend to sink at the tip. I had a Rio Nymph line that gummed up really bad and caused me to resent them for a while. I'm throwing a ST on my 3wt and loving it though.
But the Sharkskin line is really sweet. It has a texture and it vibrates when you cast. You can really feel the rod load. They are a true-to-weight line, I threw a 5wt on a Winston WT. Very sweet combo 8)
It is designed to shoot, mend, and float better than any line. And I believe they are marketing it at a higher $70-75 price point.
Check one out if you are in the market for a new line, they'll be available in '08. So far for me it has been an excellent line.
