Well today was a different day. Like yesterday morning it was raining, so we hit the river at the crack of 9:30am today. Instead of Ospreys and Eagles fighting and a Falcon catching a duck, we saw an pile of Buzzards hanging around on the ground in the field at the boat ramp. Perhaps that was an omen for the day. A cold front is moving through today and fishing was tough for us. I guess that's as good of an excuse as I can come up with. My son lost 2 fish in the first run and I landed this little 22 inch hatchery fish which came home for dinner.

My Son landed the last fish of the day. It kinda matched the fishing today, compared to yesterday. :D

Actually it was a pretty, blustery Fall day today with the colors in the trees starting to show. It was the kind of day that makes me glad I live here.

It's just a variation of the Otis Bug by Otis Fisher. A very nice man.

Hook-Daiichi 1730 #4 wrapped with .035 lead
Bead- 1/4 Hot Orange by Spirit River
Tail and legs - Olive Juicy Legs by Cascade Crest Tools
Body- copper/black or copper/gold/black chenille
Collar-soft hackle ( not always used)
Shell back- tinsel, mylar, crystal flash. I use all or none at times.

Be careful casting, it's a Daisy Cutter. It works well dead drifted or swung. The locals call it Agent Orange.

Here are a few more variations.
