I will be heading to the Trinity in early October and was wondering if there are any reports on the river. Is the flow real low, have they closed any part of it, are there any fish in it?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Lower Klamath is seeing fresh fish move in, but the mouth is still relatively narrow. Some of the gil nets are being pulled, water temps are falling and weather is cooling . . . all in our favor.

The Trinity flows are ~450 up river to ~650 at Hoopa, with no scheduled releases from Lewiston at this time.

My best guess would be that things are coming together and conditions should continue to improve in the next few days. Oct could be sweet.
Keep an eye on the weather.

Definitely give the Trinity Fly Shop a call or email. The email takes a long time to get a response so I would call. There is going to be no better information than from them, there shop is about 300 yards from the river! trinflyguy@shasta.com or (530) 623-6757. 8) 8)
