A remarkable summer-run steelhead rod that's especially good on large western rivers where distance is an issue and backcasts are limited due to trees and brush. If you chase Atlantic salmon, this is a great spring rod for the likes of the infamous Miramachi. It gives you precise control on either Spey or overhand casts and it's capable of keeping a lot of line in the air, even with larger flies. Taper: Medium, Power: Medium.
