New Baby Tarpon Destination - Isla del Sabalo

Hello Anglers!

I am sitting here in Cancun now and am very excited to give you a quick report and update about our newest destination, Isla del Sabalo. Ken Hanley and I ventured down here to observe the ground breaking of the new lodge and, of course, do some spectacular baby Tarpon fishing.

We were excited to work first hand with the project lead in designing the facitlies and accommodations. Even more, it was great to fish with Ken again and experience the pristine baby Tarpon fishing at this remote destination.

I am sure that when Ken gets home he will chime in a give his rendition of our experience.

doesnt Sabalo means Snook? In portuguese Robalo is Snook.

There are tons of baby Tarpon there with plenty of Snook too.

This is the newest area that they have found down there.

DeMello, I could be wrong, but it is my understanding that in spanish sabalo means tarpon and robalo means snook. I like em' both! tight lines -Loren
