Andy and I took the old canoe this evening to lower Putah Creek which has LMB, SMB, Blue Gills, Squawfish and huge Carp too.
About 10 years ago they got a minimum flow in there because before that it dried up every summer. The water is very nice and cool in there right now.
We caught a half dozen small LMB tonight on small surface bugs.
We used a 7'6" #3 rod with a WF6F which worked great
We were near the Davis Airport only a few mile West of Davis.
Andy has been floating that stream in sections for the past few weeks.
