It seems awfully early but the sea lions are back on the San Joaquin. I saw the first on the floating buoy in front of the north end of Frank's about a week ago. He was joined by a playmate this morning.
A week ago I saw a flock of swans. The Canadian geese are flying in formations. Several groups of coots are now camping out in Frank's. I saw a flock of snow geese last Tuesday.
And it's only the end of August!
Is nature telling us something about the coming winter?
