a rise and a miss.

I have yet to hit the river for half pounders/steelhead but there should be some in there. This time of year focus on the oxygenated water like riffle and smaller "buckets." In the evenings the fish should move out of these areas into a little slower water and some tailouts to feed. The fall fishing the past couple of years has been very poor but hopefully that will change. I would try caddis patterns and soft hackles. Keep putting in the time and you will be rewarded.
