We cast the new Sage 'ZXL' fly rods for 2008.
They are softer and more flexible than the Z-Axis but have that same fast line speed.
They come in small trout sizes and up to a 9' #6 in 4 piece.
I could really drive a lot of power into these rods without them collapsing. Kind of hard to believe.
I like them all but I think I "need" the 8'6" #3 line in 4 piece badly. Maybe the 9' #4 too?
I think these will be very popular with the people who fish really light trout fishing with light tippets and smaller flies.
