I had the day off on Sunday, so I went out looking for that monster striper we have been hearing about. Launched the boat around 5:05 am and had landed three fish in the first fifteen minutes. Got a nice one 7-10 lbs to the boat ( he took it right at the boat and I never really got the hook set) Then nothing for about an hour. We got down near watt and hooked
A few more schoolies before the sun hit the water. It was a nice day and there are still a lot of fish in the system.
When fishing the AM try stripping in as fast as you can, the go faster. When we were stripping slow we had a lot of fish follow it to the boat and then turn around. Using a super fast strip gives them less time to think about it.
