Below the Watt bridge on the lower American River is a meeting place where local Spey types practice their casting and test new rods and new lines.

There are people there just under the morning shadow of the bridge almost any morning now.

Get a cup of java and go over there to see what's going on if you have any interest in two-handed casting.

Sunday is a good day too.

If you need any instruction, local Spey instructor Jeff Putnam might be around in that area especially on weekends.
