Still some fish moving around, but no big numbers this morning.
Picked this guy up with a very short lead with a light #8 surfin merkin.
Not a drag burner, but plenty of head shaking.
Still....beach to myself and a quiet way to start the day casting to wagging tails in the skinny water.
Water is extremely warm and at least the sun poked out.

What are the best months for these fish in your area?

Maybe we need a group road trip down there?

Hey Bill,
They're around for sightcasting typically starting in May and sometimes as late as Sept./Oct. .
Usually prime time is June/July when the water warms up a bit past 65 and the crab beds have formed on the beaches.
Its been really warm this year so they've remained very active despite us moving into August.
Its been in the high 60's to low 70's water temp wise.
Let me know if you guys plan out a road trip.
