John Barr's new book Barr Flies just came out and I received my copy today. It's easy to read (I already finished it). The color photos of the tying steps make it easy to follow. It's an awesome book, and I highly recommend it to all fly tiers.

Shouldn't yu be reading Mercer's creative fly tying instead?   :D

You can only read it so many times. I should have the whole thing memorized by now.

Good next time we go fishing I want a narrative run down on what the book is about, because I get stuck staring at the awesome pictures the whole time!

John Barr has some very effective patterns...particularly the Barr's Emergers series (tied on the 2457 hook)

I use the bwo, pmd and trico versions all the time at Hot Creek, Lower O and East Walker. They kill it during the appropriate time!
