I fished the creek Tuesday morning for a couple of hours with the high flows (around 800 cfs). The fish were holding really close to the bank. Using lots of weight and a long leader I was able to get a couple of takers. I hooked four, landing two. The biggest fish was a SUPER FAT 20" rainbow. All of the fish were hooked within 15' of the bank, the biggest being hooked about 8' out. Guess which fly they took, dtp916? That's right, the #18 micro mayfly!
