On Saturday (July 14), I found a Sage Rod and Reel near Lake Britton. It was in the middle of Clark Springs Road (the back road to upper Burney Falls). Please reply to identify.

A friend told me about your posting. I fished Pit 3 on July 14 below lake Britton and had a great day. We came back up to my pickup truck and I put my rod on my ladder rake. We had a few beers and talked about the day and then got in the truck and drove away. Sunday we got up and headed back home in the Bay Area and it wasn't until two weeks later, when I went to use my rod that discovered it was missing.
The rod is a Sage RPL+ 690, 6wt, 9', and the reel is an M2 Bauer real with a white spool and #5-6 wgt forward green fly line. Probably had size 14 birds nest and maybe a size 14 prince nymph with probably 1-2 split shot and an orange corky which has a slice in it so it can be easily removed and held to the line with two small tooth picks.
I hope this is the rod and reel you found.
Let me know either way.
I truely appreciate you posting it on the message board-Fly Fisherman are the only truely honest people left in this world.
