Directly over on our coast next week it is 30 degrees cooler than here in the Sacramento Valley.

105 degrees here, 75 over there......ooooooh!

It is about 20 degrees cooler next week at Mammoth Lakes.

Truckee is about 10 degrees cooler.

Dunsmuir and Downieville are only about 5 degrees cooler......ouch.

Perfect weather here for swimming or night fishing.

Here in Fresno, it's a 105 degrees yesterday, today 108 and possibly 110.

One hour east of here up in Yosemite, there's not much of a difference in the temperature - maybe 4 degrees.

Last night at 11:00pm it was 91 degrees, right now it's 8:30am and the temperature is already at 85 degrees

I'm wondering, is this what they call "global warming"

Hi Jay

In Monterey, CA on the Pacific coast, it is 55 right now (8:45am).

The 10 day report over there is 70 degrees in the day time and a cool 55 at night.

I think we need to head for the high country or the beach?

July, August and September is very warm in this big "banana split bowl" we live in.

Bill,

I look at it this way. We might have the heat, but we're not flooding like Kansas (although we need the water) we're not having tornado's like Minn. or Green Bay and we hope to heck we don't have the hurricanes like Florida and Gulf are predicting
Funny thing, people from the coast come to the valley to get away from the cool, foggy days and people from the valley go to where it's cool

I finally had to turn on the AC to make it comfortable for my wife and grand daughter. I find comfort at Barnes & Noble reading magazines and using there AC :D That's what the news is broadcasting

Guess I shouldn't mention I had to put on a sweatshirt to watch the firework show on the beach. That would be downright cruel.

It's been in the mid 60's with plenty of wet stuff over the last week up here in God's country... We spent a couple of weeks in the 70's ... now that was uncomfortable :)

I am thoughtful of you guys with the fires however... be safe
