Golf and bass

This is why I golf, other than the true enjoyment of hitting a little ball into a little hole. I catch these guys all day long and at most golf courses. I wish the picture was taking under better light conditions.

Nice bass, I've always wanted to poach a golf pond with big bass but I never found a course with big bass in it's ponds, good for you.

That's an excellent looking bass. When I lived on the peninsula we use to sneak onto a golf course at night (after the course closed) and fish a couple of the ponds. But after a golfer drowned in a pond, they shut all acess down.

That heavy weed cover behind you is what I like to fish. It's exactly like the cover at Kelsey. I throw the weedless Dalberg in towards the shoreline. Actually, I would be casting right where you are standing and drag the fly back through the cover. It's a kick to watch them come up and grab the fly in a open window.
If you use a heavy mono weed guard, you shouldn't get hung up.

Makes me want to grab the rod and head to the lake
