water was flat as could be. boats went out for tuna and slammed em. one boat got 31 fish. today we had the best luck of anyone out here. we caught 4 fish total, the baby was 27lbs, two at 31 lbs and the mama was at 42lbs. im gonna stick one with my 5wt tomorrow.

Most would choose a 12 weight for Pacific Albacore.

A 10 weight would be sporting.

Dude, you are crazy with that 5wt!

My buddy catches stripers on his Winston BIIx 3 wt and I think he's nuts...His drag on his reel is now non-existent.

Also talked with a guy today that caught a 36", 18 lb striper on the American on his 4wt....another wacko.

But damn, tuna on the 5wt??!!! I gotta see this!

it ended up being lumpier than grandmas thighs. couldnt get out far enough. didnt even get a salmon to the boat, but we hooked two.
