Many of our popular "fly fishing lakes" are fishing well now as June is a peak month for most of them.

These are lakes that are from about 2000 to 6000 feet in elevation.

This is when we get may fly and damsel fly hatches in many shallow weedy areas.

Davis, Frenchman's, Stampede, Milton, Indian Creek, Red Lake, Fuller, Almanor, McCoy Flat, McCumber, Manzanita, Baum are just a few that come to mind.

Again, by August these lakes will not be quit as good on top for fly fishing because of the higher surface temperatures.
